Happy New Year!!

Hey everyone so I hope you've had a great New Year Celebration! Right now its 2pm and we are witnessing the annual parade that goes through our small town. Heres a photo of the event. To be quite honest it doesnt interest me that much. I'd much prefer to leave and go on a lovely drive somewhere in my beautiful country , but my youngest brother insisted we stay home for it and because it goes past our street, they block the road so we cant leave..sigh. anyway I guess i should appreciate it a little more, i mean vintage cars and tractors are what makes this town.
Anyway people, do you have any New Year Resolutions?
Here are mine (atleast I think these will be mine, i havnt properly thought it through just yet):
1. Lose 8kgs (according to the BMI thingy, i'm overweight for my height :(, yeah i wasnt too happy about that.
2. To finally get my license ( I know i'm 18 but still havnt got it yet lol)
3. Save money for my friends wedding which is in Dec this year (2010)lol
4.Try and have an actual bedtime.
5. To live each moment as if it was my last, but remember to think about God's view on my actions.

SO yeah enjoy the celebrations! God bless you all!

Merry belated Christmas

Hey bloggers sorry im late with this one and also apologies as this wont have any photos with it..hmm though may post later. So for most of yous, actually all of you's, it'd be the day after christmas which in New Zealand we call Boxing Day. This is bacause most presents (back in the day) were put in boxes. Then on December 26 boxes used would be taken to local tradesmen who would then take those boxes and use them the rest of the year in their trade. Say transporting milk. Really though (in my opinion) it's kinda similar to America's Black Friday, as its the biggest day for retailers and their sales. Personally my family and I are resting on December 26 from all that Christmas food!;)
Anyhow has everyone had a good Christmas? I sure did, even if it was like the hottest day so far this summer. Honestly it was insane. I felt sure sorry for mother who pretty much spent most of the day in the hot kitchen, (i did offer help, i'm not that selfish lol) and my oldest nephew was running about with no top on. But aside from the heat, we all had lovely day even if no one was interested in my dinner table games sigh..
But guess what? i learnt something from this Christmas, now isn't tha something ;). Well its not to be soo selfish! It is much better to give than to recieve, even though our flesh doesnt always agree. Chrisstmas is about showing Christ's love, especially in the gifts you give and due to not recieving as many as i would have hoped (yeah i know! not good!) i definately learnt that this year. You see after i unwrapped all mine and then moved to taking photos of my family members's new items, I felt rather proud seeing my purchases being passed round in admiration, and it just makes ya feel good ya know. It just shows that making an effort for others can really come through and bring you joy, even if dont get anything (in the physical) out of it.
and well i will include some photos btw, but i'll think ill leave the writing part to that. Sorry this short, but am tired as usual.
oooh has anyone seen The Lovely Bones? Is it good?

This my oldest nephew amongst the gifts and torn paper. so cute!
Next is the wee gift i bought for my youngest nephew Benjamin, these shoes are gorgeous and so tiny! :)
Following that is delicious Ferrero Rocher chocolate, the dark chocolate one is devine!
and next is ornament on our tree :D.
Enjoy holidays people oh and Happy New Year!

Next is my nephew Benjamin he's smiling now :D
Following is my version of a white christmas here in NZ, cool huh! this was on one of our "good" summer days.
Alas, was supposed to put the photo of the mountain underneath this..which is what we had like the next day...apparently that morning all the hills surrounding our town were covered with snow. I was sleeping so couldnt capture the site..my bad.

Christmas is just round the corner...:D

Hey all! Hope everyone is well, so have once again taken ages to write back but alas i have had no time! But now freedom calls, and I am ready to take hold of her wings!
Graduation
ok so we dont actually use the word "graduate" in New Zealand but cos both my followers are from US, i thought i would put it in :) SO last Thursday we had our Award Ceremony/Graduation erm Ceremony lol It was pretty good, i must admit and also rather sad, I definately felt teary eyed. I mean heck it would have been like the last time Im together with these people :( BUt yeah so schools offically over...atleast i hope like heck it is. I cannot remember if I last time mentioned that I had to finish an assignment for history and its been a real pain in the butt lol BUt anyway I finished it and have emailed it to my teacher, but alas, he has not emailed me back :( SO am wondering how it is and if I did okay on it...
Youth Group Break Up
Ok so not sure if i also mentioned that we do have a youth group here but not like a church and so this year it really fired up, with meetings and events almost every fortnight..its been great! and so on Saturday we had our breakup cos we not gonna continue in the holidays. It really was a lovely night! We played all sorts of games and ate good food - chips and icecream anyone. An example of a good game is where every sits round the table and then you go around the circle and have to figure out if you are either Option 1: two down Option 2:two up Option 3: one up, one down and so you go around the circle many times, because your option can change and so for a few turns I tried to fgure out which one i was. Eventually I figured out (after over half the group had discovered the trick) that it has to do with your arms! and so if you have both hands lik down on your lap then your Two Down, and say at your turn you happened to scratch your ear with one of your hands then you'd be One Up, One Down. It really was fun and if that doesnt really make sense just leave like a commment lol
Christmas Shopping
Okay so i have to admitt I'm probably like the worst Christmas shoppers around! Lets just say i tend to have this prob where i cant remember what ive bought, or even what i have in my trolley! Its honestly really bad. At one point I had in my trolley all for my little brother a belt, a t-shirt and was about to grab a Hannah Montana dvd (yes hes a boy who loves Hannah!- must be the name :D) when i realised I'll def be his new fav sister (even if he does have one ;) ) as i was gonna end up with three separate presents for him! sigh..hmm mayby its because i havnt been so prepared this year. You see i usually have most of the Christmas gifts covered by like the start of December, but alas my education has deprived me from this! lol SO yes dont go shopping with me peeps, or unlike my bro whom i was shopping with that arvo remind me i already have gifts for that particular individual! Happy shopping bloggers!
Weather in NZ
okay so weather has been delightfully crazy lately. its goes hot one day, cold the next, humid the day after. It really is interesting I must ask "What do you have up in your sleeve, GOd?" As Im sure everyone knows in the last days the weather will be rather hectic! and im sure this is only the beginning! remind me to post a few photos up later (am at my friends house atm, so havnt got photos on this comp).
Tired
ME and my friend Steph went to a lovely ladies 50th last night. it was grand, we played games and nibbled at seasonal delicasies like fruit tarts, and chocolate almonds bliss! (if peeps havnt realised im crazy over food, hmm perhaps ill post some of my erm interesting concoctions later on) and then later we watched movies until 3 am so yes am p tired though will admitt my usual bed time is like 2am atm . my bad.
right am tired, i promise to post those photos later!
till next time! God bless

an update from me

So its been like half a month since i last wrote which actually isnt that long for me, but noticing the blogs i follow who update like every two days, i thought id better do the same.
idea
So ive decided to put little labels at the top of each paragraph, or sentence in this case as i tend to write a whole lotta stuff at once which doesnt really make sense :(
School
well okay so i thought school was over after i had my last exam (history, just so you know and dont even ask me how that went :/) but then i was asked to come back to school to complete a assessment for Statistics, which thank the LOrd I got merit and then also to see my history teacher who then told me that i hadn't handed in all that i was supposed to for one of my internals (like assessment, assignment thing) like i had overlooked an entire page...so sigh thats what Im doing now and its very difficult, you'd think there'd be heaps more info on the Womens Vote (my country was first to get it btw :D) but nope hardly anything. SO yeah we seniors finished like 3 weeks ago now and the juniors (including my lil bros) finish next week.i was kinda hoping to be chilling and relaxing (without my lil bros) by now, its like i might aswell be at school sigh! but oh well just like a few more days and it should all be over! so thats my rant bout school lol
Music
well im just really loving music right now, i just cant get enough of it. atm Im listening (on my pod)to Kutless -HEarts of the Innocent , its on shuffle btw and im also multitasking and listening to samples of Sara Groves new albums Fireflies and Songs. (which you can find on her website) and yeah am really loving it. I've never really listend to her before to be honest, but when i heard the title of her album, well who could ignore it (it truelly screams out SUMMER) and its making me pretty excited even if we have had like a week of rain :( its getting me prepared :). I also am quite liking jazz/blues like think Norah Jones stuff atm too so last night i looked up Christian jazz and found an alternative by the name of Ginny Owens and seriously you should check her out. Her voice is amazing and it's also really cool cos like she was born blind, and its just real neat to see how she hasnt let that stop her ya know, not that being blind stops you from singing- but yall know what i mean lol. ok also really like the theme song for that new movie The Time Travelers Wife (not sure if ill watch it or not, like i love romance films but it's gotta be decent ya know) but anyway the song is by Lifehouse and its called Broken. It's such a beautiful song. btw if peeps know much about that movie, like maybs you've seen it then please let me know and also what do you all think about Lifehouse, are they good? (cos ive only listened to that one song and i did google them and it said that the lead was Christian, but yeah) ??
my walk
okay so with the stress of everything round me lately its been so hard to try and keep my relationship with God on track. But like in saying that i still make time for internet and stupedly watched like a ton of tv recently and i just hate how i do that. like okay so yesterday right my whole day was devoted to this history thing but then like i still ended up watching Ellen and Coro and its like grrr i coulda used that time to spend in the Word or in like worship ya know. I hate how i always let my flesh win lately, ya know, like it never used to be that way ya know. so yeah and lately like heck i just had/have this huge like bitterness toward my mum, like i just feel like shes keeping me wrapped in cottonwool ya know and heck i know deep down she loves me and just wants to protect but yeah i guess with like all my classmates going off in other places like uni and what not and ive chosen to stay here partly cos theres no place that i could actually go and i know Gods like def got plans in this place, but yeah still i just grrr like got this rebellion issue or something...sigh i hate it sometimes ya know.
But yeah on a brighter note, i was watching benny hinn and he was teachign about getting into the presense of God. and it was really interesting and it def works (ya just gotta stick to it like everyday, unlike my self). anyway so he was teaching from the book of Numbers chapt 7 (its long but got amazing truths) and anyway he's talking about how theres like three realms to the presence of God the first realm is the "outer courts" and this is where most people including myself go in our prayer life. This is the one that coincides with the verse "let your requests be known to God - i think thats Phils or Ephesian, sorry not sure from top of my head. but yeah this is when you like talk, and you yourself only talk, ya know you pray about the day, for you unsaved bro etc etc and yeah theres no waiting on God or time to let HIm talk ya know. and so like in this part you'll also have a ton of distraction and spiritual warfare and what not.
And so what Benny was getting at is that we should stay and keep going, dont just walk away at this point cos then you're just continue that same pattern day after day and you'll just keep living a mundane (it think thats the word) life, which we shouldnt want lol. So after you're talking part its time to wait, and you're thinking wait for what? and im telling you wait for God and His amazing presence.
And btw this can take like an hour from when you've started ya know. He did say however that once you get into it reguarly then, God will just show up like WHAM lol. But yeah so you gotta enter in the inner courts, and btw God will "tease" you lol He'll give you a taste and then He'll draw back and this is like the scripture 'Taste and see that the Lord is good..' and sorry not sure where this from, probs Psalms but not sure. but yeah Benny likens this to like a zoo where the worker is trying to get the animal into it's cage and so takes a piece of meat which it tastes and then wants more and so the worker takes steps back and lets it taste again until the worker keeps going back and the animal is led to the cage. (btw please dont think that i think we're like animals or something k, but i trust yall mature to read that i mean this figuratvely :)) and this is because once we've had a taste of God we want more and so He keeps teasing us tehe.
And btw this second realm is like Psalm 42 and Psalm 63 ( which i trust yous will read lol) and yeah so like our goal is the third realm which is called in Numbers "the holy of Holies' and only after like several days or so, will we reach this realm, its like about persistance ya know (heck i myself have got to get into this!).
SO yeah hope that makes sense, just holla back lol but yeah the one day i tried it, it seriously was awesome and God willing ill get back into it again. but like yeah in the 1st realm i like def had sooo much distraction but i like just kept using scriptures like James 4v8 which reads "Draw near to God and He'll draw near to you" and like i p much just said i wasnt leaving till i got something lol as weird as that sounds, but yeah def just do it peeps and ill endeaver to do the same ...hopefully.

anyway this p long, i thought this would be a lot quicker, wish i could type faster!
ooo JesusCultue just came on my pod, they are real cool! check them out lol.
well better hit my pillow (as in sleep lol) gotta get into school tomorrow cos need help with history, btw if anyone knows anything about Kate Sheppard could you p pleasse let me know, pref in next few days!
God bless kids!
